The National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) has asked an operator in the food sector, Intervetcom Ltd company, to start the procedure of withdrawal from the trade network and recalling from clients of eggs for consumption, as they are infected with salmonella.
ANSA said that the people who bought products from the concerned consignment were asked not to consume them and had right to return the products to the shop where they were purchased.
Under the legislation in force, the operators who sold non-conforming products were responsible for their withdrawal from market and cooperated with the National Food Safety Agency on the actions undertaken, in order to avoid or reduce the risks posed by a food product introduced on market.
