348 million leva (178 million euros) were received by the budget of the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense at the end of January as part of the agreement on compensation for aid provided to Ukraine.
This was announced at a briefing in the Council of Ministers by Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova.
“These funds contribute to the improvement of the budget balance both at the level of the state budget and at the level of the consolidated fiscal program. This is good news for both the armed forces and the public finances of our country,” Petkova said.
Defense Minister Atanas Zapryanov, in turn, explained that the funds received as compensation were directed to the logistics and modernization of the Bulgarian army. (Novinite)
