The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization hosted the strategic cyber simulation exercise Cyber Flood 2024 at the government level. The exercise allowed state institutions to practice their decision-making processes in cyber crisis management.
During the exercise, a crisis scenario affecting a number of national entities and critical services was simulated and the response mode of various relevant institutions was tested. This type of exercise helps institutions to better plan their future activities and be prepared for real situations.
The action is aimed at improving the response to cyber incidents and strengthening crisis management skills in the face of risk scenarios affecting national security.
The exercise also improved awareness of cyber security and identified roles, responsibilities and coordination mechanisms between relevant organisations involved in crisis management.
The exercise was monitored by e-Governance Academy, under the EU-Moldova Cybersecurity Rapid Assistance Project, in cooperation with the NATO-Republic of Moldova Professional Development Programme. Cyber Flood 2024 was co-organized and co-hosted by the Cybersecurity Agency and the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitisation of the Republic of Moldova. (Moldpres)
