Energocom has extended the contract for June at a price of $59.90/MWh with the Kuchurgan power station, according to Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spinu, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development.
“In addition, Energocom will sign a 30% energy delivery contract with EnergoAtom (Ukrainian state-owned company). The weighted average price of electricity for June will be about $65.03/MWh,” the official said.
Also, starting today, the rules of the electricity market come into force.
“We are in line with European practices regarding the organization of the wholesale electricity market. The novelty involves, in particular, the organization of a balancing market and a mechanism for paying imbalances. These mechanisms apply between participants in the wholesale energy market and do not directly affect final consumers. After many delays, today we can say that we are approaching European standards in this sector. We are determined to complete the reforms,” said Andrei Spinu. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
