Kyrgyzstan will receive a loan to improve the efficiency of water and energy in the south of republic, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) reported.
The bank allocates $1 million. The money will be provided to micro-credit companies. And through it, ordinary citizens will receive credits for the installation of energy efficient windows and doors, the devices for thermal insulation of walls and roofs, purchase of heat pump systems and conducting other activities that enhance the comfort of citizens and reduce their energy costs and water supply.
The new loan is provided under the auspices of the Sustainable Energy Financing Program in Kyrgyzstan (KyrSEFF). Through it the republic has already received $25 million for the financing of energy efficiency projects. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
