Kyrgyztelecom management stated that the company was deliberately hindered from development. The Chairman of the Board of Kyrgyztelecom JSC Emil Eshenaliev announced this at a press conference.
According to him, the company has been working in noncompetitive environment for 15 years. It could not develop the Internet in Bishkek and Osh, nor have a cellular network.
“We have only a fixed network. Revenues of Kyrgyztelekom amount to about 2 billion soms a year, while the volume of the telecommunications market in the Kyrgyz Republic is about 30 billion soms”, Emil Eshenaliev said.
He added that for the first 9 months of 2016 the company received 335.9 million soms in profit. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
