National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced economic growth. According to statistics, in the second quarter of 2016, the gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to 31 million 434 000 lei.
Thus, the real economic growth was 1.8% YoY. However, the share of exports was down against 2015. In January-July Moldovan economic agents exported goods worth over $1 billion 71 million dollars, down by 7.5% YoY.
More than half of exported goods were local products. The largest share is manufactured goods, followed by food products, beverages and tobacco. (TRM/Business World Magazine)
