The municipal authorities announced on October 24 that 127 kindergartens in the capital had been connected to the thermal supply.
At the operative meeting of the municipal services, the deputy head of the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport, Andrei Pavaloi, said that two kindergartens in the Rascani sector were not connected to the heat due to a damage on the route. The work was to be completed the same day.
“In the suburbs of the capital, 16 out of the 25 kindergartens were connected to the heating supply. At the same time, high schools are to be connected to the heat after the autumn vacation, due on October 26-30. The managers of the institutions announced that the temperatures in the rooms were comfortable,” said Andrei Pavaloi.
The head of the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance, Boris Gilca, said that all medical institutions in the capital were prepared to be connected to the thermal supply.
“Prophylaxis work has been completed. Maternity, pediatric wards and certain spaces within children’s hospitals have been connected to heat or electric heaters are used. Some medical institutions were connected to the heating agent only at night. For now, the temperature inside the hospitals is comfortable,” said Boris Gilca.
The thermal season starts when average daily temperatures of up to +10 degrees C are recorded for three consecutive days. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
