Representatives of the Chisinau municipality and RTE Chisinau presented in the Grand National Assembly Square ten trolleybuses assembled in the capital.
According to the director of RTEC, Dorin Ciornai, the assembly in Chisinau of the transport units makes possible a saving of 20 thousand euros per trolleybus.
“RTE Chisinau is carrying out the final assembly works, the essential structural components coming from the BelKamunMas factory,” specified Ciornai.
The official mentioned that since 2012, the date when the assembly of trolleybuses started in Chisinau, 322 transport units have been built.
“Another ten trolleybuses are currently being assembled and will be put into operation as soon as possible,” Ciornai said.
The ten trolleybuses will be put on passenger routes 4, 8, 12, 21, 22 and 24.
330 trolleybuses run every day on the existing passenger transport routes in the capital, transporting 400 thousand passengers daily. In total, RTEC has 430 trolleybuses. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
