All takeoffs and departures from the airports of Kyrgyzstan are considered dangerous, Gulzada Ibraimova, the head of the Transport Safety Control Department of the State Environmental and Technical Safety Inspectorate, said at a round table discussion.
According to her, not a single airport in Kyrgyzstan meets the standards of the Land Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
“Sanitary and construction standards are not observed. There is no right of way. Private and multi-storey buildings, high-voltage lines are being built near airports,” said Gulzada Ibraimova.
The State Inspectorate for Environmental and Technical Safety sent its findings to the Ministry of Transport and Roads, but the work had not yet begun.
“All take-offs and departures are considered dangerous,” Gulzada Ibraimova summed up. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
