In October Belarusian Potash Company and OAO Belaruskali shipped potassium chloride to Australia by sea in bulk for the first time ever, the press service of Belarusian Potash Company reported.
The vessel with Belarusian potash on board was inspected and okayed by the Australian quarantine service, thus confirming that all the steps – from manufacturing to the product’s transshipment in the buyer’s port – met the highest international standards.
Australia has some of the toughest requirements for quality and safety of merchandise, product storage and transportation conditions. The fertilizers delivered by Belarusian Potash Company represent the first batch of potash fertilizers delivered by sea in bulk from an ex-USSR country since the Soviet Union was dissolved.
In 2015 the share of Belarusian Potash Company in the global export of potash fertilizers stood at 19.3%. Belarusian potash was shipped to over 100 countries across the globe. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
