Revenues from parking fees for vehicles increased by 14.1% in January-July compared to the same period last year. Over seven months, UAH 136.5 million was paid to local budgets against UAH 119.7 million in 2025.
The largest revenues were provided by payers in :
– Odesa region – UAH 46.5 million;
– Lviv region – UAH 38.3 million;
– Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 33.1 million.
The parking fee is a local fee, so the funds paid remain in the communities. They can be directed, in particular, to the development of transport infrastructure, the arrangement of parking lots, improving road safety and creating a comfortable urban space.
The payers of the fee are legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who, by decisions of local governments, organize and carry out activities to ensure the parking of vehicles in paid parking lots and specially designated parking lots.
The tax base is the area of the land plot allocated for parking, as well as the area of municipal garages, parking lots and parking lots built at the expense of the local budget. The fee rate is set by decision of the local council and can be up to 0.075% of the minimum wage per 1 sq. meter. In 2026, the maximum amount is UAH 6.49 per 1 sq. meter. (State Tax Service)
