As of September 5, all regions of Belarus started sowing winter grains. According to Belarusian AgMin, 93.3 thousand ha or 6.93% of the plan have been seeded. Sowing progress is considerably faster than last year. As of the same date in 2015 60.6 thousand ha had been sown (4.9%)
This year farmers plan to increase winter grains area by 8.8% – to 1345.1 thousand ha. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
