Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover with Korea in 2015 totaled $54.8 million (import – $54 million, export – $0.8 million), the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Economy reported.
On July 28, the meeting of the Minister of Economy Arzybek Kozhoshev with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in the KR Jung Byung Hu took place. The parties noted that trade turnover between the two countries didn’t meet its potential, and emphasized the need to enhance trade cooperation.
Reportedly, they discussed cooperation within the EEU, the questions of the second meeting of the Kyrgyz-Korean intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, as well as promising areas of cooperation in the field of investment, trade, energy, advanced training and the transfer of the Korean experience to Kyrgyzstan.
