In 2025, more than 20 Russian clothing and footwear brands closed all their retail outlets. A year earlier, there were only four such companies. This follows from the data of the consulting organization CORE.XP, which are cited by “Vedomosti”. Clothing sellers Incity, Mai Collection, Mudo, Noun, Ready! Steady! Go!, Yollo, shoe retailers Megatop and Urban Vibes, as well as lingerie specialists Deseo and Etam, completely ceased their operations. Face Code, I Am Studio, Inspire Girls, Just Clothes, Luzeen, Mollis, Prav, etc. switched to online sales.
Some players retained offline outlets but reduced their number. For example, the sports goods chain Desport (formerly Decathlon) optimized its network from 29 to 21 outlets in February 2025. Also, one of the largest Russian clothing retailers – Gloria Jeans – got rid of 100 outlets at the end of 2023. Other brands are also resorting to optimizing their retail networks: 2xu, 12 Storeez, 20 Line, Avva, Baasploa, Balabala, Club, Dub, Ecru, LC Waikiki, Maag, NetWork, Ovs, Oxxo, Plein Sport, Replay, Vilet, etc., says the head of the research and analytics department of IBC Real Estate, Ekaterina Nogay (The Moscow Times).
