Inflation in December 2018 compared to December 2017 will be about 1%, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan says.
It is noted that, taking into account the updated data, the estimate of annual inflation rate has been revised to a greater decrease. At the same time, in the second half of 2019, it will enter the target medium-term monetary policy benchmark of 5-7% in case of the absence of external and internal shocks.
“Low inflation rate has been registered in Kyrgyzstan since March 2018. Low cost of products remains the main factor in the emerging inflation dynamics. The increase in prices for non-food products is gradually slowing down. As of December 14, the annual inflation rate was 0.3%,” the message says. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
