Enterprises affiliated with the Agriculture and Food Ministry increased exports 2.4-fold to the countries of Asia and Oceania in January-May, Aleksei Bogdanov, Head of the Central Office for Foreign Economic Activities of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry, reported.
“Work on export diversification continues. We have seen positive dynamics practically on all tracks except Russia. In January-May the export by enterprises affiliated with the Agriculture and Food Ministry to the CIS countries (except Russia) grew 2.4-fold, to $111.5 million, 2.4-fold to the countries of Asia and Oceania ($38.4 million), and 1.7-fold to African countries (over $1 million). The export to the United States expanded by 2.3%, to almost $800,000,” Aleksei Bogdanov said.
All in all, the export by enterprises affiliated with the Agriculture and Food Ministry to non-CIS countries surged by 67%, to $47 million. In January-May the enterprises affiliated with the Agriculture and Food Ministry exported products to 58 countries. This is three countries more as against the same period of last year.
