In 2017 the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic transferred 2.1 billion soms to the country’s budget, the Chairman of the National Bank Tolkunbek Abdygulov stated at the meeting of the parliamentary committee on budget and fiscal policy.
According to him, in 2016 the bank conducted 52 interventions, and in 2017 – 21.
“This is due to the stabilization of the exchange rate. But with a decrease in interventions, our income also falls. In 2017 the revenue was 2.4 billion soms, at least 2.1 billion of which were transferred to the country’s budget,” the bank’s chairman said.
In 2018-2019 the National Bank will transfer 90% of its income to the state treasury.
“A relevant law was adopted because of the budget deficit. But it will be in force for two years only. Then the bank will begin to transfer to the budget only 30-70% of its income,” said Tolkunbek Abdygulov. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
