President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave instructions for the construction of a hotel during his visit to the Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov on December 2.
Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the project for the construction of the new passenger terminal “Tashkent-4”.
The project is funded through banks and funds of Uzbekistan and South Korea. The capacity of the new terminal will be 1500 passengers per hour.
Mirziyoyev also got acquainted with the work carried out in the sphere of improving the quality of services, and the construction of a new waiting room. He gave instructions for the construction of the hotel and the introduction of information technology to improve the quality of services.
The Tashkent airport occupies a convenient geographical position, as it is located at the intersection of air routes coming from the CIS countries to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe and America.
The airport has two passenger terminals, for the international flights (Tashkent-2) and domestic flights (Tashkent-3). (Trend/Business World Magazine)
