The national energy company Ukrenergo in January-October increased transmission of electricity through the backbone power grids by 3.9% (by 3.565 billion kWh) compared to the same period in 2016, to 93.858 billion kWh.
According to a report posted on the company’s website, the cost of electricity transmission services rose by 20.8% over the ten months (by UAH 1.144 billion), to UAH 6.655 billion.
The company in January-October reduced capital investments by 26.7% (by UAH 948. 637 million), to UAH 2.600 billion.
The total expenses of Ukrenergo rose by 8.5% (by UAH 176. 363 million), to UAH 2.248 billion, in particular repair costs decreased by 3.1% (by UAH 5.073 million), to UAH 160.407 million.
As reported, in 2016 Ukrenergo reduced power transmission through the backbone power grids by 7.4% (by 8.873 billion kWh) compared to 2015, to 111.222 billion kWh.
Ukrenergo operates trunk and interstate power grids, as well as performs the centralized dispatching of the united energy system in the country. The company is a state-owned enterprise, and it is subordinate to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry. (Interfax-Ukraine/Business World Magazine)
