In January-April Belarus’ export of merchandise and services rose by 19.5% YoY, to $10.413 billion, according to the latest statistics released by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.
Foreign trade in merchandise and services totaled $20.706 billion, up by 17.9%. Export reached $10.413 billion (up by 19.5%), with import at $10.292 billion (up by 16.3%). The surplus of the foreign trade in merchandise and services totaled $120.5 million. A surplus was also reported in January-March.
Belarus’ foreign merchandise trade rose by 20.2%, to $17.366 billion. Merchandise export grew by 21.3%, to $8.235 billion, with import up by 19.2%, to $9.13 billion. The deficit of Belarus’ merchandise trade totaled $894.5 million. In January-April Belarus’ foreign trade in services amounted to $3.34 billion, 107% as against the same period of last year. Export of services reached $2.177 billion (113.1%), with import at $1.162 billion (97.3%).
