The Bishkek mayor’s office plans to raise the salaries of local government employees, Vice Mayor Ernis Zarlykov declared at the regular session of the City Council on March 16.
According to him, the mayor ordered to analyze the general policy of payment to workers of local self-government.
“Today, sweepers, librarians and others receive a small salary. The increase should be considered within the whole system of the local self-government. We will consider this issue,” the Vice Mayor said.
The date of a possible increase in salaries has not been announced. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
