Despite the establishment of industries, Kyrgyzstan continues to process only 15% of agricultural production, the Minister of Economy Arzybek Kozhoshev said at a government meeting.
During 11 months of 2016 the volume of foreign trade of Kyrgyzstan decreased by 0.5% YoY.
Exports amounted to $1.6 billion and decreased by 1.5%. Imports remained at the level of 2015 due to supplies from the third countries.
Imports of goods from the EEU countries decreased by 16%.
“The competitiveness of domestic business is reducing. To change this situation, it is necessary to build logistics centers of local and regional importance. But the information doesn’t reach the population. Now we need to help the regions in this work,” Arzybek Kozhoshev said. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
