In January-September investments in long-term tangible assets in Moldova decreased by 17.6% to MDL 9 billion 830.2 million.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the investments in equipment and machinery were MDL 3 billion 684.1 million, down by 26.3% YoY. The investments in buildings and constructions were MDL 1 billion 627.5 million (-22.9%), the investment in residential buildings amounted to MDL 1 billion 502 million (-6%), the investments in transportation means were MDL 908.1 million, (+15.1%), other investments stood at MDL 2 billion 108.5 million (-24.1%).
By the kind of assets, the biggest amount – 37.5% against 41.8% in January-September 2015 – was invested in the equipment, machinery and transfer devices. The share of investments in buildings and engineering constructions was 16.6% against 17.2%, the share of investments in residential buildings increased from 13.4% to 15.3%.
Own funds of legal entities and individuals remained the main sources of investments into tangible assets in this period, making MDL 6 billion 805.2 million, or 69.2% of the total amount. Against the same period of 2015, they reduced by 4.8% in volume. Investments from budget funds reduced by 74.4% to MDL 334.9 million, and made 3.4% of the total amount. Foreign investments decreased by 32.8% to MDL 574.5 million, their share in the total volume decreasing by 1.4% from 7.2% to 5.8%. Investments from budgets of territorial-administrative units decreased by 18% to MDL 462 million, their share in the total volume staying unchanged at 4.7%. (InfoMarket/Business World Magazine)
