In September the average salary in the municipality of Chisinau amounted to MDL 6,084.6, 17.7% more than the average salary in Moldova.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, it grew by 8.9% YoY. In particular, the average salary in Chisinau’s budget sector was MDL 5,201.1, up by 8.7%. In the real sector it averaged MDL 6,273.4, up by 8.8% YoY. The highest salaries were paid to employees of the public administration, the defense and the mandatory social insurance sector (MDL 7,071.3), industrial sector (MDL 5,813), the service industry (MDL 6,235) and the education sector (MDL 5,164). The lowest were received by employees of the forestry, the fishery and the agricultural sectors (MDL 3,977.8). (InfoMarket/Business World Magazine)
