In 2016 Kazakhstan produced one of the record harvests of grain crops in the history of the country’s independence, including 17.9 million tons of wheat and 3.3 million tons of barley, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Minister of Agriculture Askar Myrzahmetov declared.
According to the announcement, in the current year Kazakhstan reached the high rates of rice yield at 5.36 ton/ha, and oats yield of 1.68 ton/ha. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
