Iran’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi will visit Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafayev, Azerbaijani minister of economy, said.
Mustafayev made remarks at the meeting with Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan Javad Jahangirzadeh.
“The issues of mutual interest will be discussed during the visit”, the minister said.
Mustafayev and Jahangirzadeh also discussed the issues to be considered as part of the eleventh session of the intergovernmental commission on economic, trade and humanitarian cooperation, scheduled for late 2016.
Mustafayev added that the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran increased by 58% YoY within 10 months 2016.
The minister also stressed the high level of the Azerbaijan-Iran relations and spoke about the ongoing projects of the two countries.
He added that the bridge over the Astara river, which was one of the most important parts of the North-South international transport corridor, would be constructed till late 2016. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
