Slovenia is committed to strengthening cooperation in the “green transition,” where it has accumulated extensive experience in developing and implementing environmentally friendly technologies-from renewable energy sources to intelligent waste management systems, energy-efficient solutions, and water management, Mattjaz Han, Minister of Economy, Tourism, and Sports of the Republic of Slovenia, has said.
“We view cooperation with Azerbaijan in these areas as strategically important and see great potential for knowledge sharing, best practices, and the implementation of joint projects aimed at supporting sustainable development,” the minister said.
Mattjaz Han noted that the Memorandum of Understanding on Energy signed between the Slovenian and Azerbaijani Energy Ministries reflected a shared commitment to strengthening partnerships in renewable energy and clean technologies, including the development of hydrogen energy.
“We expect this cooperation to gradually expand and strengthen, contributing to the shared goals of energy sustainability and climate neutrality,” the minister added. (Report)
