Sunmeal exports from Ukraine totaled 142.0 KMT in September against 85 KMT in August and 139 KMT in September 2015. Analysts expect Ukraine’s overall 2016/2017 sunmeal export to reach at least 4400 KMT.
The range of export destinations did not change substantially in September. As before, the top buyers of Ukrainian sunmeal are European countries (65% of total exports) and Belarus (24%). Israel and India continue boosting purchases (3% and 2% respectively). Turkey, a key importer in MY 2015/2016, refused to buy sunmeal from Ukraine in September.
