The state-owned Belarusian company OAO Belaruskali has enough potash export contracts to operate at full capacity till March 2017, a Belaruskali representative reported.
Belaruskali’s production facilities have been operating at full capacity since July, when Belarus Potash Company (Belaruskali’s key export trader) signed long-term contracts to ship potash fertilizers to consumers in India and China and the potash market started getting back to normal.
As previously reported, Belaruskali produced 3.799 million tons of potash fertilizers (in terms of 100% potassium chloride) in January-August, down by 17.3% YoY. In August alone Belaruskali’s potash fertilizer output increased by 3.7% YoY to 622,800 tons.
Belaruskali produced 6.5 million tons of potash fertilizers (in terms of 100% potassium chloride) in 2015, up by 2% YoY.
The state-owned Belarusian company OAO Belaruskali is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of potash fertilizers, employing about 18,495 personnel. It operates the Starobinskoye potash salts deposit and comprises four mine groups, auxiliary shops and support units.
