Around 10 documents will be signed during the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Bishkek, Deputy Director of integration associations of Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Ministry, national coordinator of SCO from Kyrgyzstan Gulkayir Balbaeva said.
The 15th meeting of SCO Council of Heads of Government will be held in Bishkek on November 3, under the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Sooronbay Jeenbekov, said the message posted on the website of Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, heads of delegations from SCO countries will exchange views on international and regional economic cooperation.
The meeting participants plan to approve the list of measures for the further development of project activities within SCO for 2017-2021.
Moreover, the parties are expected to approve of the action plan for 2016-2020 and SCO concept of scientific and technical partnership.
The prime ministers will also approve of the report of the SCO Secretariat on the process of implementation of the trade and economic cooperation program of SCO member states, as well as the organization’s budget for 2017.
The heads of government of SCO member states will adopt a political final document, joint communique on the results of the 15th meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government.
Shanghai Cooperation Organization was established in 2001. The SCO members now are China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Afghanistan, Iran, Mongolia and Belarus are the SCO observer-countries, while Turkey, Azerbaijan, Sri Lanka, Armenia, Cambodia and Nepal are dialogue partners. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
