In the near future the machine tool factory based in Baranovichi, Brest region, intends to start selling merchandise to Hungary, the head of the enterprise’s Marketing Office Dmitry Krivorot reported.
An agreement on cooperation was signed during the international mechanical engineering expo MSV 2016 in Brno, Czech Republic, in October. As part of the agreement a Hungarian company will be buying 20 tons of storm drain grates every month. The Belarusian enterprise intends to start shipments in January 2017.
In Czech Republic representatives of about 50 foreign companies showed their interest in the products the Baranovichi machine tool factory products. Some of the companies have already submitted their orders. In particular, a Polish company intends to buy components to make sports gear. The company will need 40 tons per month. Another company from Poland intends to buy products made by the forging division of the Baranovichi machine tool factory.
Dmitry Krivorot said: “We intend to export about 70% of the forging and foundry output. We work with Russia, Poland, Germany, Lithuania and are on the lookout for new markets. We attend specialized expos at least twice a year where we meet with old partners and potential ones”.
The Baranovichi machine tool factory is a branch of the industrial group ZAO Atlant. The factory opened in 1986. With its foundry modernized, the enterprise can now make up to 24,000 tons of cast products per annum. The enterprise is now busy retooling its forging division. Heat-treatment furnaces have been upgraded. A machine lathe has been installed to replace ten units of equipment. The enterprise intends to buy another one like that in the future. The efforts allow the enterprise to bolster the competitive ability of the products it makes. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
