Belarus’ farm output grew by 2.2% YoY in January-August to 8.4 billion Belarusian rubles ($4.347 billion at the official exchange rate), a source in the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) reported.
Sales of fattened cattle and poultry grew by 3.1% YoY in to 1.055 million tons; milk output grew by 0.9% to 4.14 million tons, and egg output went down by 1.5% to 2.582 billion units.
The return on sales in January-July stood at 2.6% to compare with 4.4% in January-July 2015.
The value of overdue accounts payable in the agricultural sector stood at Br2.085 billion ($1.079 billion) as of August 1, up by 22.7% since early 2016 (up by 1% MoM).
The value of overdue accounts receivable stood at Br302.9 million ($156.764 million), up by 19.4% since early 2016 (up by 2.5% MoM).
The share of loss-making agricultural companies in January-July accounted for 25.3% of the total number to compare with 14.5% in January-July 2015. The total number of loss making agricultural companies stood at 361 as of August 1, up by 74.4% YoY.
