China Merchants Group may contribute to a major multi-modal industrial and logistic center, which is currently under construction in Bolbasovo, Vitebsk region, the regional authorities said at the official web site of Vitebsk region administration.
Chances are China Merchants Group will sign a memorandum of cooperation with Bremino Group Ltd, the founder of the Bolbasovo logistic center project.
China’s investments could speed up the construction of logistics facilities in Bolbasovo.
A logistic center in Bolbasovo is being built in accordance with the ordinance No. 334 signed by President Lukashenko on July 21, 2015.
Bolbasovo will host a big center to process raw materials, transship cargoes, coordinate the interaction between different modes of transport, and provide the conditions for the short-term and long-term storage of goods.
Bolbasovo is supposed to become a key hub on the China-Europe transport corridor.
The logistic center will be based at the premises of OAO Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant and may be integrated into China’s New Silk Road route. Lukashenko’s ordinance says the logistics hub in Bolbasovo must be launched by December 31, 2023. (Prime-TASS/Business World Magazine)
