UTair Aviation served the millionth Surgut International Airport passenger on September 16
Visiting Surgut on her way home to Ufa, Elvira Zaripova became the millionth passenger at the airport. Representatives of UTair and Surgut International Airport held a ceremony to award the jubilee passenger in the check-in area. The Ufa native was presented with a tablet PC as well as certificates for a free flight on any route within the UTair route network and passenger service in the airport’s business lounge of the airport.
“UTair appreciates the longstanding cooperation with the Surgut International Airport and we congratulate our colleagues on this significant event”, UTair – Passenger Airlines President Alexey Budnik commented. “It’s very nice that the millionth passenger was flying UTair which generates more than 50% of the passenger traffic at Surgut International and is the anchor carrier at the airport. UTair operates flagships of the fleet on flights from Surgut and every year we are expanding our route network to provide citizens of Surgut with a wide choice of destinations for comfortable air travel”.
UTair flights connect Surgut with 25 destinations in the main regional centers of Russia and neighboring countries, 16 of the unique destinations served only by UTair. This season, UTair has opened new interregional routes connecting Surgut, Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk.
