As of September 1, agricultural organizations of Belarus harvested grains and pulses throughout the areas of 2.067 million ha (98.1% of the plan). The average yield totaled 3.35 ton/ha, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus declared.
The harvested volumes reached 6.932 million tons of grains (taking into account buckwheat and millet), down by 1.736 million tons YoY.
In particular, the harvested areas in Brest region reached 331 thousand ha (100%), Vitebsk region – 282.9 thousand ha (90.2%), Gomel region – 346.8 thousand ha (99.5%), Grodno region – 302.5 thousand ha (98.6%), Minsk region – 501.3 thousand ha (99.4%), Mogilev region – 302.6 thousand ha (99.8%).
Agrarians have also harvested rapeseed throughout 153.9 thousand ha (73.1%), and produced 252 thousand tons of the oilseed. The average yield reached 1.64 ton/ha. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
