Analysts of Rusagrotrans CJSC increased the forecast of the general grain harvest in Russia in 2016 to 118.5 million tons, against the previous forecast of 116 million tons, the Deputy Director of the strategic management department at Rusagrotrans CJSC Igor Pavensky declared.
According to him, Russia produced the previous record harvest of grains 37 years ago, in 1978 – 127.4 million tons.
In particular, in the current year Russia will produce 72-73 million tons of wheat (against the previously forecast 71 million tons), and 19.5 million tons of barley (against 18.3 million tons). (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
