In January-July the volume of grain shipment for exports by enterprises of PJSC Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP Group) totaled 2.815 million tons, down by 9.4% YoY, the press-service of the company declared on August 16.
Reduction of grain prices on the global market and low-scale shipment rates by companies-exporters became the main reasons for reduction of the monthly transshipment volumes in the reporting period.
Also, NCSP Group decreased vegetable oils shipment by 12.5%, to 134 thousand tons. The shipment volumes of chemical cargoes (including mineral fertilizers) dropped by 10.8%, to 583 thousand tons.
The Group operates two of the largest Russian ports – Port of Novorossiysk on the Black Sea coast, and Port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea, as well as Port of Baltiysk in Kaliningrad region. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
