Viewers will be able to see a spectacular dogfight between a MiG-29 and a Su-30SM fighter jets.
A dogfight between the Mikoyan MiG-29 and Sukhoi Su-30SM fighter jets will be staged at the Aviamix airshow on August 6, as part of the Aviadarts international flight skills competition, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
“For the first time within Aviamix, a dogfight between the MiG-29 and the Su-30SM jets will be staged while six attack helicopters Mi-24 and Ka-52 will carry out an attack under cover of the MiG-29SMT”, the ministry’s representative said.
For two hours more than 70 new fighter jets, bombers and helicopters will be staging aerial duels, launching aircraft missiles at ground targets, intercepting air targets, dropping heavy cargoes, testing accuracy and showing aerobatics. (Russian Aviation/Business World Magazine)
