In January-March Murmansk Sea Fishing Port JSC handled 78,900 tons of cargo, up by 14.5% YoY.
The growth was driven mainly by transshipment of oil products.
In the reporting period the company handled 37,100 tons of fish products (-9.1%). In March the port handled 30,400 tons of cargo (+39.4%), including 15,400 tons of fish (+ 11.6%).
In March Murmansk Sea Fishing Port handled 91 vessels including 86 vessels with fish cargo (in 2016 – 78 vessels). 14 vessels of them are large capacity vessels. Inshore trawlers obliged to deliver their catch to domestic ports account for almost 2/3 of the total number (59 calls in March).
JSC Murmansk Sea Fishing Port specializes in handling cargo from fishing boats, mother ships and reefer ships. It also transships packaged, palleted and loose cargo, as well as general cargo of commercial and military use. The company’s quay side is 4.5 km long. It owns port fleet, fleet of lifting equipment, auxiliary equipment, refrigerators, rail facilities and yard engines.
