Representatives of the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry, State Administration of Roads and of the ONUR Turkish Company have signed a contract on the carrying out of rehabilitation works on the R33 road Hancesti-Lapusna.
“I know that this has been expected ever since 2014. I promised that I would carry it through. This segment, of 37 km, is a road of republican importance, which crosses eight settlements: the Hancesti city and the villages of Anini, Rusca, Lapusna, Pervomaiscoe, Strambeni, Onesti, Sofia and from which over 21,000 citizens will benefit,” Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Andrei Spinu said.
Under the document, the works of rehabilitation of the road segment include the repair and over-widening of the present roadway, construction of a new roadway and the finishing of the works on construction/rehabilitation of three bridges. Also, an automatic will be set at crosswalks with traffic lights and illuminated outside with solar panels; bus stations will be constructed, with all auxiliary works, etc.
The rehabilitation of the R33 Lapusna-Hancesti road is part of the Rehabilitation of roads in Moldova IV project and is worth 38.7 million euros, provided by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
