A week ago, the next stage of the all-Ukrainian incandescent lamp exchange programme was launched. Starting from December 5, pensioners have already exchanged 1 million old incandescent lamps for new energy-efficient lamps. Starting from December 12, Kyiv region joined the exchange programme. Pensioners living in the Kyiv region can receive an additional five LED lamps at Ukrposhta offices, even if they have already participated in the exchange before.
“The lamp exchange programme remains popular among Ukrainians. Since December 5, when another stage of the lamp exchange for the elderly started in villages, citizens have already exchanged about 1 million lamps. I would like to thank everyone who joined the programme, as by replacing old lamps with new ones, you reduce the burden on Ukraine’s energy system, which experiences shortages in winter. Our goal is to replace about 17 million more incandescent lamps with energy-efficient lamps. I would like to remind you that Ukrainians who have not yet taken advantage of the exchange can receive up to 5 LED lamps at Ukrposhta offices. The programme also continues to operate for legal entities: medical institutions, schools, kindergartens, clinics and condominiums can receive LED lamps by submitting a relevant application in the Diia app,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
To receive additional LED lamps at the office, pensioners should bring their passport, Unified State Register of Taxpayers, pension certificate and valid phone number. The exchange of energy-saving lamps is available free of charge as long as the LEDs are in stock.
This time, pensioners do not need to have their old lamps with them to exchange. Instead, they can bring them to an Ukrposhta branch within a month of receiving five additional LED bulbs. (Government portal/Business World Magazine)
