Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili and South Korea’s Minister of Economy and Finance Choo Kyung-ho on May 4 discussed possibilities of increasing investments from South Korea to Georgia and highlighted the importance of launching free trade and investment protection agreements between the countries.
The meeting was held as part of the 56th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank in Incheon, Korea.
Khutsishvili on May 5 addressed a session at the Meeting, entitled Reinvigorating Regional Cooperation in Central and West Asia – the Role for the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Programme.
The session noted that member countries of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Programme should expand economic ties in the region in order to “create resilience in the face of external shocks”. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
