In January-March, compared to the same period last year, the amount of cash in Ukrainian banks increased by 22.6% YoY and cash withdrawals – by 3.7%.
The press service of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) reported this on Telegram.
In the first quarter of 2023, the amount of cash in banks reached UAH 601.2 billion, up by 22.6%.
The amount of cash withdrawals from banks over the reporting period came to UAH 565.2 billion, up by 3.7%.
The three largest cash withdrawal operations were payment card transactions – 84.3%, postal operators’ support transactions – 4.1% and the purchase of foreign currency from customers – 4%. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
