Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili on May 4 highlighted the “strong economic” performance of Georgia and noted its double-digit growth over the past two years despite global challenges at a Business Session of the Asian Development Bank Board of Governors.
At the session held as part of the ADB’s 56th Annual Meeting on May 2-5 in Incheon, Korea, Khutsishvili noted the $4.5-billion portfolio of Georgian authorities’ “successful cooperation” with the bank.
“We hope that future cooperation with ADB will take place in priority areas for Georgia, such as: energy security and independence, green and renewable production as well as connectivity, power transmission and more”, he said.
Khutsishvili highlighted the role of the ADB in the process of helping its member countries and said “today, we all need strong regional synergy and the support of development-oriented partners”.
The next annual meeting of the ADB members will be held in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi in 2024. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
