Western Georgia’s Kutaisi International Airport serviced 91,802 passengers in March, up by 72% YoY, the United Airports of Georgia announced.
The number of flights at the airport increased by 64%, with the facility servicing 304 flights last month.
In the first three months of 2023, the airport serviced 256,213 passengers and 854 flights. The airports body said the number of passengers and flights both increased by 61% YoY.
Five airline companies operate flights to 28 destinations of 17 countries from the airport.
The body also noted the Hungarian airline Wizz Air would again station its third jet at the facility and add five new European destinations this June.
It also said the Kazakh airline FlyArystan would operate regular flights from Kutaisi Airport to Almaty starting on June 4. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
