Georgia exported locally produced goods worth $5.03 billion in January-November, up by 31.8% YoY, preliminary data from the national statistics office of Georgia showed.
Geostat said local exports in the country had accounted for 67.6% of total exports in the reporting period, amounting to $3.40 billion, up by 21.2%.
Georgia’s top trading partners were: China – $621.8 million, Russia – $499.2 million and Bulgaria -$391.8 million.
The five largest domestic export goods of Georgia were: copper ores and concentrates – $932.9 million (27.4% of total exports), ferroalloys – $448.3 million (13.2%), nitrogenous fertilisers – $249.1 million (7.3%), wine from fresh grapes – $231 million (6.8%) and natural or artificial mineral and aerated waters – $103 million (3%).
In the reporting period Georgian external trade turnover amounted to $17.02 billion, up by 32.2%.
The value of exports rose by 31.8% and equaled $5.03 billion in the reported period, while imports grew by 32.5%, amounting to $11.98 billion.
Turkiye ($2.55 billion), Russia ($2.20 billion) and China ($1.67 billion) were the top trading partners of Georgia in its total external trade turnover in January-November. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
