Electricity rate for low-income citizens (families) has been reduced in Kyrgyzstan. The President Sadyr Japarov signed the corresponding decree.
Earlier, at a meeting of the Security Council, the head of state instructed to work out a mechanism to reduce the electricity rate for this category of citizens. The purpose of the decree is targeted social support to needy citizens (families) having children under 16 amid the rising prices for socially significant goods.
The Cabinet of Ministers was instructed from January 1, 2022 to set the electricity rate for needy citizens (families) with children under 16 years old, receiving “ui-bulogo komok” state allowance, in the amount of 50 tyiyns per 1 kilowatt-hour in case of a consumption of up to 700 kilowatts – hours per month.
