Men work on average five hours more per week in Kyrgyzstan, UN Women organization says.
According to it, there is almost no difference in cities: men work 43 hours a week, while women – 41 hours. The difference is due to the villages, where the male population works 38 hours and the female – 30 hours.
However, Kyrgyz women spend much more time on unpaid household chores: in cities, men spend one hour per day on household chores and women – 3.5 hours.
As for the villages, men spend one and a half hours a day on housekeeping and women – five hours. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
