Since the beginning of 2021, local budgets of Zakarpattia region have received UAH 6.9 million in tourist tax payments, which is 36.1% more than in the pre-pandemic period of 2019.
This was reported by the Tourism and Resorts Department of Zakarpattia Regional State Administration.
“In January-August, the local budgets of Zakarpattia region received UAH 6,916,000 of tourist tax payments, up by 82.6% YoY,” the report reads.
At the same time, 22 territorial communities of the region did not receive tourist tax payments at all in January-August. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
